Down by the old Oak Tree
This 11x14 inch acrylic painting was a half finished piece that I had to abandon because in the middle of painting it something came up and I had to stop.
Its not often I enjoy painting something half finished and especially when my focus is broken from it. But as of lately I’m finding it easier to refocus my attention and continue to create.
It’s actually a great lesson I’ve learned along the way. Its a metaphor for life. Often times we get caught up in our external worlds, I mean, there sure is enough going on in the world to rob us of our focus. But the lesson learned is once we realize our focus has been broken is a blessing, we can correct our attention, refocus our efforts and steady our ship back on our goals.
I loved the sky and I loved adding the tree. The depth in the painting was created layer by layer to find this finished artwork that Im happy with
