Jen and I have been on the honeymoon for nearly 2 months. We had so many experiences shared with new friends and old. One of the best experiences was hiking to the top pf Mt. Ashland, through the beautiful west coast pines and taking in breathtaking views of Mt. Shasta thats nearly 100 miles away.
We watched the blue sky turn pink and purple over the mountain. We watched the star’s splatter across the sky. In the morning, we watched an epic sunrise create a masterpiece as it exploded into color.
I created this painting outside in a dreary park in Ashland the day after our hike. It was completely from memory but totally inspired by the beauty nature provided is as we had the entire mountain shelter to ourselves.
