This is a mini poster I created for a Phish tour that never came to be. I designed a few posters for shows that were ultimately canceled during what many of us now call the “Year That Never Was” — the COVID shutdown of 2020.
At the time, I had planned to print and sell them to help make ends meet, since my entire tour season — my main source of income — was wiped out.
This is the only one I actually finished. There are three other show posters I penciled and inked but never got around to painting. They’re floating somewhere in my archives, though I can’t recall which shows they were for. I’ve created a ton of art since then.
I never made prints because it simply was too heavy. No music, friends or family. Honestly it felt like a curse at the time. If I only knew it would push me to become a long distance hiker and inevitably meet my wife TyeDye Jen.
