A challenging state along the Appalachian Trail
Pennsylvania is the third largest state along the trail spanning 230 miles of albeit smaller mountains through the mid Atlantic but the rocks make it hiker hell for so many. It is how it earned the nickname “Rocksylvania” and is often referred to as “the place hiker boots go to die”.
It’s a beautiful state filled with amazing trail shelters, gorgeous views and host to the true Halfway point along the 2,200 mile journey.
There is a great community built around the trail from the south to the north and we are so grateful we get to be a small part of it.
